    Need to lose weight?–yes
    Want to lose weight?–yes
Have time to exercise to lose weight?–yes
Want to give up all my favorite foods?–not so much

I want to be able to eat the foods I like and like to cook and be able to still lose weight. What's your suggestion?

I love Chips Ahoy, Oreos and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Always have. That absolutely was one of my hang ups when trying to lose weight in the past. So what I decided to do is still eat those things but eat less of them. Instead of taking the bag of Oreos to the couch with me to watch TV (something I did a lot of times) I took the serving size (which I think is either 2 or 3 cookies) with me and put the bag back. For PB cups we bought the mini ones and when I wanted one I had a couple of those rather than the two (or four) cups that came in a normal package.

Actually this is going to be part of my next Weight Loss Guideline, but at meal times I ate what was on my plate and that was it. No seconds. No eating off the boys' plates. No hovering over the kitchen table staring at all the un-eaten food. I got up and started cleaning up. That got me serious bonus points with Amy too!

    Sound possible?

OK, Tracy. So here's my story–
a)Yes, I struggle w/my weight. I have since I was 17, and I think I probably had “body image” issues before then.
2)Have I lost weight? Occasionally, but less & less each time. But I haven't really lost any significant amount since before the kids were born. Interestingly enough, I actually lost weight for the first few months of pregnancy w/both Autumn & Joey. With the motivation of providing the right nutrition for another human being, I actually had no trouble eating right. And I know what I NEED to do–why can't I just DO it?
c)I am terrible about exercising. And I have had asthma since I was born–I know; excuses, excuses!
4)What do you think about the whole 8 glasses/64 oz. of water a day idea?

Oh yeah, and–GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ARE HERE!!! HELP! :)

I really enjoy the blog, and it is definitely helping to keep me in the right frame of mind. Thanks!
